Cape Wine Experience

We focus on producers that should be readily available in the Swedish market place, but up until we began were not. Our portfolio focuses on South African wine producers who make honest premium wines with both character and soul. Winemakers that push the boundaries, challenge the norms and are positively contributing to the South African wine industry. Over the past nearly three decades, following Nelson Mandela’s release from prison and South Africa becoming a truly free and democratic country (1994), the wine industry has experienced a renaissance particularly in the premium sector. Despite the consistent and significant challenges a small, but growing, band of producers have elevated the quality and reputation of South African wine both locally and globally. Our producers all form part of this group and each take their role seriously; wines made in the vineyard, not the cellar, with minimal intervention, sustainability and no additives at the core of their values. Truly terroir driven wines that speak of the beautiful winelands at the Southern most tip of Africa. Are you ready to explore the gems of the Cape with us?

We sell wines, via our webstore, in cases of six bottles and delivered to your door. For orders over SEK 2,000 delivery is free. Don’t know where to start? Contact us and we’ll happily help. Finding it hard to choose? Try one of our personal selection mixed cases.

Mixed Cases

We offer a limited selection of mixed cases based on a central theme or wine producer. It’s a great way to get to know some of our portfolio or the amazing producers we work with.

First black female winemaker's wine to launch at Systembolaget in October!

In October this year we will be supplying Systembolaget with Aslina by Ntsiki Biyela’s Cabernet Sauvignon 2020! This is an exciting project for both us and Ntsiki and we hope that the wine is as well received as it has been over previous vintages. Sign up in the contact form to be notified about the release

This signup sheet is exclusively for notifications relating to the Systembolaget launch of Aslina’s Cabernet Sauvignon 2020. If you would like to hear more from us, including the Aslina launch, you can signup at the bottom of this page

    How it works

Shopping in Cape Wine Experience’s wine store is simple and convenient. Plus, you don’t have to carry the goods home. Choose your wines and place an order for delivery, pay and sit back. We and the logistics company take care of the rest. All taxes are already included in the price and we declare them to the authorities so you don’t have to.

“South Africa is making the greatest wines in its history. We may even look back on
this time, ten years from now, when the pandemic is in the rear view mirror, and kick ourselves for not realizing how lucky we were. Some of the producers in this report will have stopped making wine; some of the vineyards that supply them with grapes will have succumbed to the bulldozer or neglect. So let’s celebrate, at a time of undeniable crisis, what makes South African wine great: its old vine Chenins, its Bordeaux blends, its Syrahs, its Chardonnays, Semillons, Cinsaults and even its Pinotages.” – Tim Atkin (Master of Wine UK)
